FRESH FLOWER PUMPKIN DESIGN I will teach you how to make a handtied floral design which you can then display in a favourite vase brought from home or a carved out pumpkin if you want to bring one along Alternatively, I can show you how florists make an aquapak design to take home your gorgeous floral design. You will be working with the most beautiful flowers and foliage which I will order on the Dutch Exchange just before the workshop so they are super fresh and long lasting. The cost of the workshop reflects that quality and quantity of the materials you will be taking home with you. [Please note the flowers in the photos will be different from those supplied at the workshop - I created this display using flowers from my garden]
WILLOW & DRIED HYDRANGEA WREATH WORKSHOP ("TING-A-LING-N-SHIMMER") During this workshop, you will learn how to make a willow wreath with rods from the Somerset Levels. You will go on to decorate it with hand-gathered, home-dried hydrangeas to make a stunning decorated wreath which you can display in your own home (over the Festive period or all year round) or give as a unique handcrafted gift for Christmas. If you like, you can have your finished wreath "spritzed" with glitter, festooned with bells (sold separately), lit up with tiny fairylights (sold separately) or bring your own ideas to the table. I will also bring to the workshop a variety of ceramic/wooden messages which can be purchased to complement your wreath.
CHRISTMAS WORKSHOPS This year my Christmas workshops will be run from my home for an extra cozy experience. You can choose from: ... an all day workshop where you will be taught the traditional method of making a wreath using moss and creating little bundles of foliage to secure with metal pins to your wreath. Time consuming but the results speak for themselves and you will probably leave in a hurry for next Christmas to make another wreath and perhaps invite friends to your own home so they can start their own family yuletide tradition. ... a quick make traditional wreath workshop with a lovely twist - all natural so that, after Christmas you can compost the whole lot and start again fresh next year. .... garland making workshop - as these are kept indoors, they will not survive as long as they would on your front door but once you have learned the skill you will find yourself making them for many more occasions other than Christmas.
Please note all foliage and equipment needed is supplied. You are welcome to bring foliage from your own garden but please let me know so that I can advise how best to prepare it.
I will have a supply of good supply natural embellishments for you as well as bells, etc - some of which are complimentary and some which incur a small cost. There may not be sufficient time for your to decorate your wreath during the workshop but you are welcome to take some home with you and I will show you before you leave how to affix them.
