PLEASE NOTE THAT WHILST I AM A QUALIFIED FLORIST WITH A FLAIR AND ENTHUSIASM FOR TEACHING, I AM NOT A QUALIFIED TEACHER. I ENJOY HOLDING FRIENDLY, INFORMAL WORKSHOPS WHERE EVERYONE IS ENCOURAGED TO BE CREATIVE AND GAIN CONFIDENCE AND JOY IN WORKING WITH FLOWERS.
POP UP WORKSHOPS
A new concept for Floralities which I trialled successfully in 2019. Instead of (or in addition to) attending one of my scheduled workshops which will be running throughout the year, why not have one of your own, in a venue of your choice, with as few as 2 of you or as many as 22 (or more)?
You can choose from any of the ideas below, or contact me if you have an idea of your own.
TIMETABLED WORKSHOPS 2020
Valentine's Willow Heart with Dried Hydrangeas - see image in slide show above In this workshop, I will show you how to make a beautiful heart from willow rods and go on to decorate it with dried hydrangea flowers. You can choose to further embellish your heart with a string of tiny fairy lights, a message or a little hydrangea tree from which to hang tiny silver findings. Create this beautiful heart for yourself or for a loved one - for Valentine's Day or for every day of the year. Date: Sunday, 9th February at The Salty Monk in Sidford Time: 1.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Cost of workshop £35.00 (cost includes a hot drink and choice of homebaked treats) (please note that embellishments will incur an extra cost but please feel free to bring your own)
Wicker Basket with Fresh Flowers and Foliage - see image in slide show above In perfect timing for Mothers' Day, Floralities will teach you how to make a beautiful basket full of fresh flowers and foliage. The only baskets I purchase are ethically sourced, extremely well made ones from a small mother and daughter business in the UK which will last for years. Flowers and foliage will range from Devon & Cornwall grown to those available though the Dutch Auction. Date: Saturday, 21st at The Salty Monk, Sidford Time: 1.00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost of workshop: £60 (cost includes a hot drink and choice of homebaked treats)
Fresh Floral Design in an Egg Shaped Ceramic Container - see image in slide show above In this workshop, Floralities will teach how to make a beautiful floral design within an egg-shaped ceramic container which comes with it own hanging device to give you the option of hanging your egg somewhere in your home, or removing its chain and replacing it with a bow. The ceramic container can be used for years to come, inside and outside to house more floral design or planted ones. Flowers and foliage will range from Devon & Cornwall grown to those available though the Dutch Auction. Date: Saturday, 11th April at The Salty Monk, Sidford Time: from 1..00 to 4.00 p.m. Cost of Workshop: £55.00 (cost includes a hot drink and choice of homebaked treats)
